Bi-Annual Short Story Competition
Rogue Animal Books and Writer's Island are proud to present our bi-annual short story competition. Writer's will be able to submit their stories based on a prompt provided to compete in a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card and be featured on Rogue Animal Books as well as considered in publication for our future anthology.
Rules
Eligibility
All writer's must be members of the Writer's Island facebook group. Click here to join now!
Word Count & Deadline
All submissions should be between 6,000 - 7,500 words.
All submissions need to be sent by the deadline. Deadlines, and instructions on how to submit will be found in the Writer's Island facebook group.
Theme
All submissions will be required to adhere to a specific theme or prompt. The theme or prompt for the competition will be announced in the Writer's Island facebook group.
How It Works
The short story competition will be announced every six months with a specific prompt. Writer's will be provided a deadline date to email their submissions by, after which, all submissions will be reviewed and graded. The two highest scoring submissions will be chosen to go up for vote on the Rogue Animal Books websites. Readers will be able to vote and determine the winner of the competition.
How To Submit
Writers wanting to participate in the competition will first need to join the Writer's Island facebook group. All information regarding how to submit, theme of competition and deadline will be announced there.
Voting
This is how winners of the competition will be determined. All voting takes place on www.rogueanimalbooks.com where readers will be able to view all submissions in the running to be the winner. In order to vote, readers will need to register on the site.
Winner
In addition to a $100 Amazon gift card, winners of the Bi-Annual Short Story Competition will be featured on the Rogue Animal website as well as considered for publication in our future anthology!
